The group’s coordinator, Ogungbemi Olusola, made the appeal in a statement expressing concern that political activities allegedly linked to the Tinubu Support Group could deepen divisions within the Kogi APC chapter if they were not properly aligned with the party’s leadership and structures.

Olusola called on Hon. James Faleke and other political leaders to ensure that support groups operating in their names cooperate with the state party leadership and prioritise the APC’s collective interests.

He also praised Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for what he described as an inclusive approach to governance, urging party members to support efforts to maintain cohesion as preparations for the next general elections gather momentum.

“We are calling on Hon. James Faleke to ensure these individuals do not drag his name in the mud, especially after the immense sacrifices he has made for the party in Kogi State,” Olusola said.

The coordinator further expressed concern over reported political engagements involving members of the Social Democratic Party in Kogi East and Kogi West, as well as the Peoples Democratic Party in Kogi Central. He urged APC stakeholders to address disagreements through dialogue and recognised party channels.

According to Olusola, the movement remains committed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid and the success of other APC candidates in 2027.

He maintained that the party had built structures across the state that could strengthen its electoral prospects, while stressing that internal cooperation would be essential to achieving its objectives.

The group also appealed to members of the Audu/Faleke political family to preserve the political legacy of the late Prince Abubakar Audu, whom Olusola described as a committed founding member of the APC.

Olusola urged party loyalists to place collective interests above personal disagreements and avoid actions capable of escalating tensions within the state chapter.

He specifically called on Faleke to encourage his supporters to cooperate with the Kogi APC leadership, arguing that stronger coordination among stakeholders would improve the party’s preparations for the forthcoming elections.

The movement reiterated that sustained engagement, respect for party structures and internal unity would be crucial as the APC works towards its political objectives in Kogi State and nationally.

The concerns and appeals contained in the statement reflect the position of the APC Network Movement. The allegations about political activities and possible divisions were not independently established in the material reviewed.
