The meeting, held at the governor’s residence on Monday, October 26, focused on cooperation among APC leaders and stakeholders, grassroots mobilisation and efforts to consolidate the party’s structures across Kogi State’s three senatorial districts.

According to a statement issued by Lizzy Okoji, Special Assistant on Media to the Minister of Steel Development, the discussions formed part of ongoing engagements among party leaders ahead of the next general elections.

Audu described Ododo as the leader of the APC in Kogi State and expressed his readiness to work with the governor and other party stakeholders to advance the party’s interests.

He said the planned mobilisation would involve strengthening existing political structures, engaging communities and building cooperation among party members across the state.

The minister also emphasised the importance of collective action among APC leaders, noting that sustained engagement and coordination would be central to the party’s preparations for the 2027 elections.

The meeting comes as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the next general elections, with parties and their stakeholders working to consolidate their support bases and organise their grassroots structures.

For the APC in Kogi, the discussions highlight the importance party leaders are placing on cooperation across the state’s three senatorial districts as they prepare for the coming electoral contest.
