Kehinde Ozein Hamzat, a Nigerian winger and recent graduate of Lagos State University, has secured a move to Turkish football club Fişekspor as he begins a new chapter in his playing career.

The footballer graduated from LASU in 2026 after studying Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education under the university’s Faculty of Education. A LASU academic record also contains a matching name, Hamzat Ozein Kehinde, listed under Physical and Health Education, supporting the educational background reported about the player.

Kehinde reportedly had a diploma qualification before proceeding with his full-time undergraduate studies at the university. During his time at LASU, he represented the institution’s male football team, known as the Trail Blazers.

His football journey also included spells with grassroots teams in Lagos and surrounding areas, where he continued to develop before earning the opportunity to move abroad.

Fişekspor announced the Nigerian player's arrival on its social media platform, presenting the signing as part of its preparations for the new season. The club welcomed Kehinde to the team and expressed confidence that his talent, energy and determination would add value to the squad.

The move takes Kehinde into Turkish amateur football, with Fişekspor listed in the Istanbul 1. Amatör Lig, Group 9, for the 2026/27 season. Current fixture records show the club scheduled to compete in the division during the new campaign.

Fişekspor has also established itself as a regular participant in Istanbul's amateur football structure. The club finished the 2025/26 season with eight wins, three draws and seven defeats in the Istanbul 1. Amatör Lig, according to a club-published league table.

For Kehinde, the move represents an opportunity to continue his development in a different football environment after combining his university education with competitive football in Nigeria.

His transition from university football and Lagos grassroots teams to a club in Turkey also highlights the route through which emerging Nigerian players can seek opportunities outside the country's domestic football system.

As Fişekspor prepares for the 2026/27 campaign, attention will now turn to Kehinde's adaptation to Turkish football and his contribution to the Istanbul-based side.
