The exercise covers retired heads of service and permanent secretaries, as well as pensioners under the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and the Civil Service Pension Office (CSPO).

LASPEC Director-General, Babalola Obilana, announced the exercise in a notice urging affected pensioners to complete the process before the deadline. The verification is intended to update pension records and confirm beneficiaries’ continued eligibility under the Defined Benefit Scheme, which operates on a pay-as-you-go basis.

According to the notice, the exercise will be conducted entirely online. Pensioners have been advised not to visit the commission’s office to complete the process.

Eligible retirees are required to use the portal designated for their pension category. Retired heads of service and permanent secretaries are to visit verify.laspec.gov.ng, TESCOM pensioners are to use verify.tescomlagos.ng, while CSPO pensioners should access verify.cspo.ng.

The verification process begins with a two-step login validation requiring the pensioner’s Oracle number and surname. After logging in, participants must select the self-service option and follow the instructions provided on the portal.

Pensioners are also required to use their device cameras to take photographs for identity confirmation, provide their Bank Verification Number (BVN) or National Identification Number (NIN), review and update their personal information, and complete their next-of-kin details before submitting their records.

LASPEC has urged beneficiaries to ensure that all information supplied is accurate and that the verification process is completed within the approved period.

For assistance, pensioners in the retired heads of service, permanent secretaries and TESCOM categories can contact Mrs Morenike Makinde on 09053962112. Those under the Civil Service Pension Office can contact Mrs Alabi Adedamola on 08023064050. Further enquiries may also be directed to the email address provided in LASPEC’s official notice.

The online exercise is intended to make verification more convenient for retirees while helping the commission maintain accurate records and ensure that pension payments reach eligible beneficiaries.

Affected pensioners should use only the official portal assigned to their category and confirm any assistance details through LASPEC’s official communication channels.
