Funeral arrangements for late Nollywood actor Chijioke Temidayo Nwokafor, better known as Cjay Nwoks, have been announced as colleagues, friends and family prepare to pay their final respects.

Actor Emeka Okoye shared the details of the service of songs on Instagram on Friday, October 2, alongside a tribute to his late colleague.

According to the announcement, the service of songs will hold on Wednesday, October 7, beginning at 4:00pm. The venue is RCCG Maranatha Church, Lagos Province 23, HQ Parish 21–23, on Layori Soetan Street, Oremiji Roundabout, Ifako, Gbagada, Lagos.

Those attending have been asked to appear in all-white attire.

The funeral notice described Cjay as a son, brother, colleague, uncle and friend, and invited relatives, friends, industry colleagues and well-wishers to join the family in celebrating his life and remembering his contribution to those around him.

No additional burial arrangements have been publicly announced in the reports reviewed.

Cjay's death was announced on September 30 by actress Nkechi Blessing, who shared the news from a hospital in the Badore area of Lagos. The actor reportedly died that day, although the cause of death has not been publicly established.

The actor's death came as a shock to colleagues and fans, particularly as he was building his career in Nollywood. Reports indicate that he began his professional acting career in 2021 and appeared in productions including Larry Cold, Mum Overnight, A Day to My Wedding, The Lies She Tell and What Time Left.

Cjay was also cast as the lead actor in Nkechi Blessing's movie Egusi Ogbono. Following news of his death, the actress suspended the planned release of the film, which had been scheduled for September 30.
