Adedimeji, Mo Bimpe Hold Grand Thanksgiving for Triplets
Nollywood couple Lateef Adedimeji and Mo Bimpe held a grand thanksgiving celebration in Lagos for their triplet sons, Rahman, Raheem and Rakeeb, drawing family members, friends, colleagues and prominent celebrities to the joyous occasion.
Nollywood stars Lateef Adedimeji and his wife, Adebimpe Oyebade, popularly known as Mo Bimpe, have held a grand thanksgiving celebration to mark the arrival of their triplet sons.
The celebration took place in Lagos on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, bringing together family members, friends, colleagues from the Nigerian entertainment industry and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the couple and their three children.
The event, which had been eagerly anticipated by fans following the birth of the triplets earlier in the year, was filled with music, prayers, colourful traditional outfits and appearances from several prominent Nigerian celebrities.
### A celebration of three sons
Lateef Adedimeji and Mo Bimpe welcomed their triplet boys earlier in 2026 and later revealed that the children had been named Rahman, Raheem and Rakeeb.
The couple had announced the birth on May 1, with Adedimeji describing the arrival of the three boys as a major blessing after a long and deeply personal journey into parenthood.
The couple subsequently held a private Islamic naming ceremony at their home in Lekki, Lagos, attended by close family members and friends.
The thanksgiving celebration provided an opportunity for the couple to publicly celebrate the children with a much larger circle of loved ones and supporters.
### Nollywood stars turn out
The thanksgiving attracted a large gathering of personalities from Nigeria's entertainment industry.
Among those spotted at the event were Funke Akindele, Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Aigbe, Odunlade Adekola, Jide Kosoko, Yinka Quadri, Mide Martins, Waje, Bimbo Thomas, Ronke Oshodi, Eniola Badmus and Eniola Ajao.
Other celebrities and public figures also attended, including Shade Okoya, Veekee James, Stan Nze, Isbae U, Kiekie, Enioluwa and several other entertainers and influencers.
The gathering reflected the strong relationships the couple has built within the Nigerian entertainment industry throughout their careers.
### Funke Akindele offers prayers
Before the main celebration, actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele visited the couple's home to pray for the triplets.
A video shared online showed Akindele standing beside the babies' beds while offering prayers for the newborn boys, with Lateef and Mo Bimpe present.
Her visit added another emotional moment to a day centred on gratitude and celebration.
### A colourful celebration
Fashion was also a major feature of the thanksgiving.
Lateef and Mo Bimpe stepped out in coordinated burgundy and red traditional outfits for their first look, with their outfits designed by Zackstyling Luxury.
Lateef wore a richly embroidered burgundy agbada, complemented by traditional coral beads and a matching fila, while Mo Bimpe appeared in a detailed red gown with elaborate beadwork, a matching gele and accessories.
The couple's coordinated appearance added to the regal atmosphere of the celebration as they posed together to honour their three sons.
### Music and entertainment
The celebration also featured entertainment from some of Nigeria's popular performers.
Fuji music icon Kwam 1 performed during the event and was among the notable entertainers who helped create the celebratory atmosphere.
The event combined traditional elements, music, celebrity appearances and family celebrations, turning the thanksgiving into a major entertainment gathering as well as a personal milestone for the couple.
### A journey from waiting to thanksgiving
For Mo Bimpe, the celebration represents the culmination of a deeply emotional journey into motherhood.
Ahead of the event, the actress described her experience as a journey “from waiting to wonder” and “from tears to thanksgiving.”
She reflected on the years of prayers, faith and hope that preceded the arrival of her children and expressed gratitude for what she described as God's faithfulness.
Lateef also recently opened up about the difficulties the couple faced before becoming parents, recalling the mockery, rumours, assumptions and stigma they experienced.
He said the couple chose not to respond publicly to many of the comments and instead remained patient and hopeful.
Following the birth of their three sons, he described the experience as a testimony and credited Allah with turning what had once been a source of pain into a blessing.
### Fans join the celebration
The couple had also made arrangements for their fans and online supporters to participate in the thanksgiving.
Mo Bimpe announced that the event would be streamed online through her YouTube channel, Bimpe TV, allowing supporters who could not attend physically to watch and celebrate with the family.
She thanked their fans for supporting them throughout their journey to parenthood and invited members of their online community to share in the occasion.
### More than a celebrity event
Although the thanksgiving attracted considerable attention because of the couple's celebrity status, the event was primarily a celebration of family and gratitude.
The arrival of the triplets has been a significant milestone for Lateef and Mo Bimpe, who have continued to share selected moments from their journey with their fans.
The couple's story has also resonated with many Nigerians because of the challenges they described facing before becoming parents.
Their thanksgiving therefore served as both a celebration of their children and an expression of gratitude for overcoming a difficult period.
### A memorable Nollywood gathering
With several of Nigeria's biggest entertainment personalities in attendance, the event quickly became one of the notable celebrity gatherings of the week.
From the colourful fashion and performances to the prayers and emotional family moments, videos and photographs from the celebration have continued to circulate across social media.
For Lateef Adedimeji and Mo Bimpe, however, the biggest highlight remained the opportunity to celebrate Rahman, Raheem and Rakeeb with the people who supported them throughout their journey.
The grand thanksgiving marks another chapter in the couple's journey into parenthood and provides a joyful conclusion to months of anticipation surrounding the arrival of their three sons.
